About the membership
The Finnish Commerce Federation is a nationwide commerce sector lobbying organisation whose mission is to promote Finnish commerce. As a member of the federation, your company will always have access to reliable and up-to-date information on employment and industrial political matters.
Who can join the Finnish Commerce Federation?
You can either become a corporate member or a support member of the Finnish Commerce Federation.
Companies in the commerce sector or in the industries that support commerce, such as retail, kiosk or wholesale commerce, service and traffic stations, as well as operators in the equipment rental, agency and commerce logistics sectors can become corporate members of the Finnish Commerce Federation. Membership of the federation is company-specific (not personal).

The rules of Finnish Commerce Federation
Being a member of the Finnish Commerce Federation will automatically also make you a corporate member of the Confederation of Finnish Industries.
Businesses, other organisations or entrepreneurs who do not operate in the commerce sector can become support members of the Finnish Commerce Federation.

How can my company join the Finnish Commerce Federation?
You can join as a corporate member by filling in an electronic membership application. If you wish, we can also send you a paper application form by post, which you can order by e-mail at kauppa@kauppa.fi. After processing your application, we will confirm your membership.

Finnish Commerce Federation membership fee 2024
The Finnish Commerce Federation membership fee is 0.1% of the total amount of wages and salaries the company has paid withholding tax for the previous calendar year. The minimum fee is 350 euros, and it applies to companies whose total amount of wages and salaries is no more than 300,000 euros.
If a company becomes a member in the middle of the year, the membership fee is charged for the remaining months (for example, if the membership begins 22/10, the company will be charged for the remaining full months: 1/11–31/12).
Being a member of the Finnish Commerce Federation will automatically also make you a corporate member of the Confederation of Finnish Industries. The membership fee for the Confederation of Finnish Industries is collected along with the Finnish Commerce Federation membership fee.
Please also remember that our membership fee is a deductible expense in corporate taxation!
Confederation of Finnish Industries membership fees for 2024
Minimum membership fee: EUR 50
Small businesses (fewer than 150 employees): 0.0378% of the previous year’s total amount of wages and salaries.
Large businesses (more than 150 employees): 0.0168% of the total amount of wages and salaries of the calendar year of 2022 and 0.01575% of the value added of 2021.
How can my company resign from the Finnish Commerce Federation?
If you wish to terminate your federation membership, you must notify the federation in writing, for example, by sending an e-mail to kauppa@kauppa.fi. In your message, please indicate the company’s business ID and the reason for the termination of the membership. Membership can be terminated every six months on 30 June or 31 December in accordance with the Federation’s rules (for example, if we receive a notice of termination on 15 March, the membership will end on 31 December).
If your company’s business ends, please notify the federation as soon as possible. Membership will then be terminated on the date that the business ends.
