Processing of jobseekers’ personal data

Name of the register

The name of the register is the Finnish Commerce Federation’s jobseeker register.

Purpose and basis of processing personal data

The personal data in the register is processed for recruitment purposes.

The processing of personal data in the register is based on Article 6 (1) (f) of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (legitimate interest of the controller).

Performing the task described above comprises a legitimate interest. Data subjects are persons who, as jobseekers, have a material connection with the Finnish Commerce Federation.

Groups of data subjects and information contained in the register

The register contains the personal data of jobseekers of the Finnish Commerce Federation (data subjects). The register processes the personal data necessary for the purposes specified in section 3, in practice the applications and their annexes submitted by jobseekers to the Finnish Commerce Federation.

Regular data sources

Jobseekers provide the information themselves in the application and the annexes to the application.

Regular disclosures of data

The Finnish Commerce Federation does not disclose the personal data contained in the register.

Data transfer outside the EU or the EEA

The Finnish Commerce Federation does not transfer the personal data contained in the register outside the EU or the EEA

Data retention

Applications are kept for 24 months.

Right of inspection

The data subject has the right to know which personal data concerning them are processed in the register. The data subject may request that their contact details be verified by the contact person specified in section 2.

Right to request rectification of data and right to request deletion of data or restriction of processing

The data subject may request from the contact person specified in section 2 that the personal data in their register be corrected or supplemented.

In the situations specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject has the right to request the deletion of personal data concerning them or the restriction of data processing.

Right to object to the processing of personal data

According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject has the right to object to the processing of their personal data in the register on the basis of their specific personal situation.

Right to complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman

The data subject has the right to complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman about the processing of their personal data in the register in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
