Negotiation result for the commerce sector
Today, on Tuesday, the Finnish Commerce Federation and the Service Union United PAM have reached agreement in the collective agreement and wage negotiations concerning the commerce sector. The solution will be discussed next in the administrations of both unions.
The negotiation result was achieved on Tuesday 4 March in mutual negotiations led by the National Conciliator. If the outcome of the negotiations is approved by the administrations of both unions, the prohibition on overtime, shift changes and temporary transfers in the commerce sector will end immediately. The strikes threatening specialty goods trade and technical trade would also be cancelled upon the approval of the settlement proposal.
Next, the outcome of the negotiations will be discussed in the administrations of both unions tomorrow. We will provide further details on the negotiation outcome and the decision of the administrations of the unions as soon as possible.
Negotiations on the Collective Agreement for the Commercial Sector began on 8 January. Following the strikes announced by PAM, negotiations have been held under the direction of the National Conciliator since 3 February.
