Again more strike threats for the trade sector – massive strikes in stores
A day before the labor disputes’ mediation continues, PAM announced new strikes in the trade sector. The new strike threat applies to 415 sites where approximately 26,000 employees work.
The new strikes would start at 05:00 on Thursday 16 February and end at 05:00 on Saturday 18 February (or before the end of the 5:00 shift). The latest strike threat concerns e.g. all K-Citymarkets, Prisms, Lidl Suomi Ky and Veljekset Keskinen Oy’s stores, several Tokmanni and Kokkola Halpa-Halli’s stores and Kesko Logistics terminals in Tampere, Turku, Kuopio and Oulu.
The strikes concern employees who work under the commerce sector’s collective agreement, the collective agreement of retail supervisors and the collective agreement of warehouse and transport supervisors.
PAM also announced bans on overtime work, bans on temporary transfers and bans on shift change starting on February 1. These only end with a separate announcement from PAM.
Mediation will continue on Wednesday at the National Conciliator’s office.
