Opticians secure new collective labour agreement
The Finnish Commerce Federation and the Union of Private Sector Professionals ERTO have accepted the result of the negotiations concerning the collective labour agreement for opticians.
The renewed collective agreement will be valid for the period 1 April 2022 – 31 March 2024. The agreement will raise the wages of employees covered by the collective agreement by 1.90 per cent from 1 July 2022 onwards. The pay increase comprises an overall pay increase of 1.50 per cent and a local item of 0.40 per cent.
“The pay increase solution is in line with the general policy,” says Chief Adviser Antti Vaaja. Vaaja led the negotiations on behalf of the Finnish Commerce Federation.
The final year of the agreement period is a so-called option year for which the pay increase will be negotiated separately or, alternatively, the agreement period will be terminated to end on 31 March 2023.
